| Description | The registry consists of two 64 byte blocks of EEPROM used as primary and secondary parameter sections. The two sections provide a redundant backup for reading and writing registry keys ( or parameters ). Each registry key is written as a data block. The registry does not make any assumptions about the type, size or usage of the data block. | |
| The monitor command eeprom verify verifies the integrity of both the primary and secondary parameter sections. The entire parameter section is read and verified using a checksum in the parameter section. Any errors in one parameter section will be automatically corrected but errors in both parameter sections require user intervention to correct. | ||
| The firmware will automatically perform registry verification during initialization. As a result, the monitor command eeprom verify will not normally be required. | ||
