Service Information The commands implemented by the exposure head are non-blocking. As a result, the command to configure the write laser control mode will only initiate the write laser control mode. This error code indicates a timeout waiting for the configuration of the write laser control mode.

The first step of the configuration of the write laser control mode is to stabilize the beam-pointing and write laser diode. If the write laser diode temperature is not within normal range ( with the write laser off and the TEC's enabled ) after sixty seconds, the write laser control mode is aborted with this error code.

Operator Action Check the cooling system.

  • The write laser diode temperature is above normal ( with the write laser off and the TEC's enabled ).

Troubleshooting information

Possible cause

  

The write laser diode temperature is above normal ( with the write laser off and the TEC's enabled ). Only out-of-range temperature can generate this error.

Suggested action

  
  1. Check for any other error messages.
  2. Check the chiller for possible failure. Even if the chiller seems to be working properly, there have been cases where the temperature servo loop has intermittent troubles.
