| satellite
| The satellite port address from 0 to 9.
| register-hex
| The register to write ( in hexadecimal ).
| value-hex
| The value to write ( in hexadecimal ).
For Head controller version 1.x and less the valid satellite port number are:
- 0 = Nose Piece Electronics (NPE)
- 1 = Actuator (ACT)
- 2 = Power and Beam Pointing (PBP)
- 3 = Internal Beam Balance Sensor (IBS)
- 4 = Differential Beam Pointing (DBP)
- 5 = Write LAser Controller (WLC)
- 6 = Range Finder Electronics (RFE)
- 7 = Light Valve Driver Upper (LVDU)
- 8 = Light Valve Driver Lower (LVDL)
- 9 = Power and Beam Pointing version 2 (PBP2)
| For Head controller version 2.0 and greater the valid satellite port number are:
- 0 = Nose Piece Electronics (NPE)
- 5 = Write LAser Controller (WLC)
- 6 = Range Finder Electronics (RFE)
- 9 = Power and Beam Pointing version 2 (PBP2)

| This monitor command is intended only for development purposes. Every satellite board implements 32 / 64 16-bit registers mapped to main memory. This monitor command allows users to write 16-bit hexadecimal values to specific satellite board registers.
| After a new register value is written to a main memory location the associated satellite register is automatically refreshed via serial data transfer to the satellite board. Since most satellite registers fulfill specific requirements for each satellite board, the user must have intimate knowledge of the specified satellite to make proper use of this monitor command. A typical example is shown below:
| TH3 > sat ww 1 30 5555
*** Command Success *** |
| Here the user wishes to write the hexadecimal value 5555h to the 16-bit register located at 30h on satellite 1. The user either already knows the satellite board number of interest or has determined this by use of the monitor commands sat ver or sat (install|uninstall) [<satellite>].
| To write to the registers on LVDP and LVDN satellite boards, use the 'sat ww (lvdp|lvdn) <board> <register-hex> <value-hex>' command.
Thermal 1.0 / 1.7x equivalents:
- The monitor command sat ww <satellite> <register-hex> <value-hex> does not have an equivalent.
| Thermal 2 equivalents:
- The monitor command sat ww <satellite> <register-hex> <value-hex> does not have an equivalent.
