Moving Legato Indexes to a Different Host
Moving indexes onto the new host when the
host name is identical to old one
In this example, you move indexes from rtest10 with IP address 149.115.83.156 t o rtest10 with IP address 149.115.83.122.
In order to copy the indexes - verify the setup of the /etc/hosts files on both computers.
On the original rtest10 the /etc/hosts should have the following entries:
149.115.83.156 rtest10
149.115.83.122 rdev9Note: Hostname rdev9 can be any name.
On the new rtest10 the /etc/hosts should have the following entries:
149.115.83.122 rtest10
#149.115.83.156 rtest10 (the old host name entry)Note: The new host is named rdev9 on the new host only for the sake of copying the indexes.
#mkdir /dataVolumes/rtest10.1.0/legato
#cd /backup/nsr
# uasm -s -i ./index | ( cd /dataVolumes/rtest10.1.0/legato ; uasm -r -iY )
#uasm -s -i ./mm | ( cd /dataVolumes/rtest10.1.0/legato ; uasm -r -iY )
#cd /dataVolumes/rtest10.1.0
#rcp -r legato sciroot@rdev9:/dataVolumes/rtest10.1.0/
#nsr_shutdown –a
#rm –r /backup/nsr/index
#rm –r /backup/nsr/mm
#cd /dataVolumes/rtest10.1.0/legato
# uasm -s -i ./index | (cd /backup/nsr; uasm -r -iY );
# uasm -s -i ./mm | (cd /backup/nsr; uasm -r -iY );
#cd /backup/nsr
#chgrp sys *
