• Removing the Old Legato Software
• Downloading CD Software for New Scitex Server (Timna and up)
• Downloading CD software for systems other than Ripro3000/5000

When upgrading the Legato 5.0 to 5.1, keep the indexes.

At the command prompt, type:

Answer Yes to all questions.

If you are already at the Automatic Backup and Restore menu, do not start again. Proceed from step 5.

1. Insert the Legato NetWorker CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.
2. Type scismit and press Enter (On Timna, activate scismit via CDE).
3. From the SciSmit main menu, choose Backup and Restore and press Enter.
4. Choose Automatic Backup and Restore and press Enter.
5. Choose Software Installation and press Enter.
6. Press Enter again in response to “... Are You sure?”
   This installation creates a /backup file system. In addition, the CD-ROM is downloaded to a temporary location that will later be erased.
   User Backup is also created.
7. Press [F10] to exit SciSmit.
   This takes approximately five minutes to complete.

For Server version 2.2.30 install the NetWorker software version 5.X using the following sequence:

1. Via smit create a mount point for CD - /mnt

2. Create a directory on one of the dataVolumes:

3. Change to this new directory:

4. Extract the Legato SW:

For the GEMS Legato 5.1 CD-ROMs the path should be written in capital letters: #tar xvpBf /mnt/AIX/NETWORKR.TAR
