Overview

There are 4 magnetic switches inside the internal conveyor. The location of the switches is: two on each side under the second belt, one in the front for film in detection and one at the end for film out detection. The switches are normally closed and are activated by the film. Each switch (part #170000040) is attached to a bracket and to the conveyor side.

Replacement Procedure

1. Turn off the plotter.
   
   
2. Pull out the conveyor assembly
   
   
3. Remove the upper cover of the conveyor (#41)
   
   
4. Disconnect the connector from the switch.
   
   
5. Release the two screws (#66) that hold the bracket (#1)
   
   
6. Remove the bracket with the switch.
   
   
7. Release the nut (#71) and remove the switch (#2).
   
   
8. Install the new switch, following this procedure in reverse order.

Check

While unloading check the switch operation.
