02 May 2007: End of life product status for 20W Thermal Heads More...
The S to F speed upgrades for the Trendsetter VLF AL have changed due to the end of life product status of the 20W thermal heads. Only refurbished 20W heads will be available to support existing customers.
For devices B1097 and lower, the F-speed thermal head is 32-4141A ASSY, EO, HEAD, TH1.7, 2400, 192, P22. Devices B1098 and higher have factory-installed 1.7 heads.
New S to F speed upgrades will be the same as a V speed upgrade—the model number that is configured in the device will set the maximum speed and media size. The device must be upgraded from an air-cooled head to a water-cooled head.
V2.8 speed upgrades remain unaffected. The head used with V-speed upgrades will still be a 224-pixel head: 32-4182A ASSY, EO, HEAD, TH1.7, 2400, 224, P22.
