Configure the control mode of the light valve driver to "Plot", "Local", "Disable" or "Off".
| The "Plot" light valve control mode will initialize the light valve to plot image data. This mode will initialize the stroke offset and width, initialize the polarity type, clear the spot state, initialize the spot levels, configure the common voltage and configure and enable the high voltage. The spot state is determined by the image data but the spot level is configureable.
| The "Local" light valve control mode will initialize the light valve for local testing. This mode will initialize the stroke offset and width, initialize the polarity type, initialize the spot state, initialize the spot levels, configure the common voltage and configure and enable the high voltage. The spot state and the spot level are configureable.
| The "Disable" light valve control mode will disable the light valve. This mode will disable the high voltage.
| The "Off" light valve control mode will disable the light valve. This mode will configure and enable the high voltage.
| The spot levels will typically be determined by a beam-balance. The results of the beam-balance, performed either automatically or by the monitor command bbs balance, are saved by the NVS parameter med <media index> stroke <polarity / spot quad>.

Thermal 1.0 / 1.7x equivalents:
- The monitor command lvd mode (plot [(high|low)]|local [(high|low)]|disable|off) does not have an equivalent.
| Thermal 2 equivalents:
- The monitor command lvd mode (plot [(high|low)]|local [(high|low)]|disable|off) is comparable to lvd mode (plot|local|test|standalone|standby|off).
