Improved plate separation

The following parameters were added to improve plate separation:

One CD contains all the files that were on separate CDs and diskettes

Load these manually from the CD:

Update 3.1 folder
Additions folder

Limitations

For Lotem 400 with MCU, after loading a plate, the XY bar moves toward the plate to position x=700, directly over the paper/plate detector. This position can cause a false reading.
Workaround: After installation, in the registry, locate IO OBJECT\Loading System\Load Plate\From Drum Entry to Drum Stage, and then change the X Run Away From Plate on Drum parameter from 700 to 800.

Known Bugs

After you install service Shell, in Diagnostics, the drum section is not supported.

Installing update 3

Note: Lotem Controller version 1.50.08 is a prerequisite to installing update 3.

  1. Close the Lotem Controller application.
  2. Insert the CD (part number 651-00330A) in the CD-ROM drive. The update self-installs.
If for any reason the update does not self-install, proceed as follows:
    1. Open the CD drive folder and double-click setup.exe.
    2. In the Welcome dialog box, click Next.
    3. In the following dialog box, click Next, and then click Finish.
Update 3.1 saves the following to folder C:\TH2\tools. Note: To load to the head and TMCE, see Loading a Patch to TMCE.
  3. After restart, in the Registry, browse to IO Objects\Local 3\Local 3 Card change the TimeOut for Embedded Communication [mSec] parameter from 700 to 3000.
  4. In the CD drive, locate the Additions folder.
  5. Install the relevant additional files according to the installation guidelines in the install.pdf file.

Note: Update 3.2 is also located on the downloads page, but the additions and accessories are located only on the CD.

To test if the update is installed correctly:
  1. Select Utilities > Machine Info. The Machine Info dialog box should say Service Pack 3.
  2. Click OK.
To uninstall the update:
  1. Close the Lotem Controller application.
  2. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel and double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  3. Select Update 3 Lotem Update 1.50.08 u3.
  4. Click the Add/Remove button.
  5. At the prompt, click Yes and then click OK.

Note: Due to changes in the default values and the additional registry parameters, readjustment of the X/Y “extra” parameters may be required.
