Product description

Print Console is stand-alone device control software that drives all CCA-developed output devices (except Green Head Platesetters). It connects workflow software to the output device via the Generic Device Application Programming Interface (GDAPI) or TIFF Downloader. CRI direct connectivity is no longer supported. Refer to the Release Notes for details of the changes and new features of the version you are using.

Product status

While Print Console is designed to support all output devices, each version of the software is tested on a selected device. When approved, it becomes a component of a controlled release for the device (a package of software, firmware, and hardware that is known to work together). You can check which version of Print Console should be used for a particular output device:

Training:

Use the Print Console 4 Simulation Environment to familiarize yourself with the new GMCE workstation architecture and Print Console 4.3. This package installs Print Console, a Firmware simulator, DCAPI, and documentation.

  1. Download Print Console 4 Simulation Environment to your hard drive.
  2. Run the executable.
  3. Press UnZip to unzip the package. The default install location is C:\Creo\PC 4-3 Simulation Environment.
  4. Press Close.
  5. Go to C:\Creo\PC 4-3 Simulation Environment\ and run PC4_3SimulationEnvironmentInstaller.exe. This completes the installation.
  6. Read the Print Console 4 Overview document for details on how to use this package.
