The DVD drive on new Brisque machines is similar to the DVD drive on IBM laptop computers, and it differs from the functionality of CD drives. When you press the button to open the DVD drive, the drive bay will not be open completely as CD drives do. Instead, the bay is ejected and opens only 2 cm. You then need to pull it out by hand, same as you do on IBM laptops. This feature is similar on all small DVD/CD drives.

The current workaround for this problem is to inform customers that they must run the dataVolume rebuild process as soon as the file retrieval from the Backup/Archive tapes is completed.

Ugrading from Brisque Serve 4.0.21 to version 4.0.35 fails on an F50 platform. When you attempt to upgrade an F50 platform from Brisque Serve version 4.0.21 to 4.0.35, the loading process fails because the firmware level is too low to load Brisque Serve 4.0.35. HFdaemon process fails to load the CDE after rebooting and rebuilding the desktop process fails. The HFdaemon process produces core dumps at approximately 5 minute intervals. When you reboot the system, the HFdaemon fails to load the CDE. Also, core dumps occur when the rebuilding the desktop process starts, thereby causing the rebuild process to fail. Database transaction error displays if FTC is running at login as cdesci. If the FTC (File Track Checker) application is running when you login as cdesesci (Common Desktop Environment CreoScitex), the system does not create the root.locs table in the database. At some point in time, there are some User Names that “refuse” to go away in Timn@web User Administration window due to broken links or any other reasons.
